Epochs

Epochs is a generative artwork inspired by the many timelines, on many scales, that shape environment in seen and unseen ways. Overlapping and competing timelines unfold across the canvas, briefly contributing to the tapstry of history before the sands of time wash them away.

This work positions horizontal lines procedurally on an animated canvas, intervening in the composition with bold strokes that at times act as sources of pigment as well, mirroring the somewhat random and often beautiful effects of colliding timelines in the the lives of people as well.
