Atmospheric Tides

Atmospheric Tides is one of two generative artworks created for Elite Merit Real Estate's new global headquarters in Dubai, UAE. These works respond to the environment via real-time data input, including tide cycles, current weather conditions and solar intensity. In combination with a designed circadian cycle, using local data to drive dynamics in the works ensures an ever-changing composition.

Each work leverages unique data points, selected based on conceptual connection to the work. Each data point was analyzed extensively to ensure a reasonably dynamic range over the course of the year, and to establish a baseline against which daily readings are compared.
